My Computer is the Messiah

Thursday, December 11, 2008

No, I am not referring to the fact that my whole life revolves around my computer, I am actually referencing its amazing ability after 4 years to come back from the brink of darkness time after time. This was, in fact, like the 4th coming of my laptop when I was sure I had been forsaken. And much like Christ, this baby doesn't owe me a damn thing. OK, metaphor crucified.

It's to the point now that when Windows refuses to boot, I just kind of shrug and think, "Whew. Glad I'm not at a meeting." After the second time it died, I learned to save anything important for upcoming presentations and whatnot into Google Docs. Everything else (pictures, etc) is either online or on the backup drive. Then it comes back to me and I am so blissed out every time and I hop right online and goof off. Hooray! HP is risen!
