Out of My Comfort Zone

Saturday, December 1, 2007

First there was the Adwords Editor blitz on Friday. I like Editor like I like Excel. I know they're fabulous programs, but they make me nervous. It's way too easy to click somewhere incorrectly and fuck up the whole document. Bah.

Now there's a little ice storm that Sage's plane has to land in and then Sage has to drive home. Obviously this has nothing to do with my actions, but trust me, I'm uncomfortable.

And Wednesday is frosting on my cake of discomfort. A sales meeting I get to have with a very big company. A "Meet and Greet" they call it. I am not typically the ambassador of SageRock. I am luckily taking Joe with me. I think he loves sales about as much as I do. So, two happy high C Disc test types, who are both pretty un-sporty, are at the free throw line hoping not to shoot an air ball. Again, Bah.

You're 2 out of 3 so far. Those are already good odds. And what's the worst that could happen on Wednesday? They don't hire us? That's no biggie.
See you soon pooker pie!

You're right. It's so hard for me to live in the moment when this little challenges face me. I tend t wish them over with. So, I am trying not to stew and miss nice things in the moment all because I have an uncertain hour on Wednesday. And right, who cares? We're too busy for games. ;)

So in preparation for the meeting on Wednesday I've learned the following terms and can use them in a sentence.

Double Dribble: Oh man! Did you see him double dribble?

Travel: Oh man! Did you see him travel?

Rebound: I'm going on a date with Ty tomorrow. I think I'm his rebound.

T's: Oh man! Did you see that T?

Triple Double: Did you see LeBron and that triple double last night? He had 34 points, 11 assists and 14 rebounds! What a game!

Turnover: Yum! I like apple turnovers!

Thank God for you Joe! I have NO idea what you're talking about. Except the turnover part, of course. You're so sporty!
