What Indy Wants for Christmas

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

He plans to ask Santa for Tanks (military vehicles) and a Robot.

I have bought neither of those things, of course. So far he is getting:
Marble Run + Marbles
Books
RC Helicopter
Doctor Kit
Wind Up Fish for the Tub
Space Rocket

Wow, after reading that, I feel Santa is looking kind of cheap and out of touch this year.

Gosh, it's tough balancing what the kid wants with what you want the kid to have because you know he will love it/them.

I say, always buy ONE thing they really want (assuming cost is not an issue) and then buy the stuff you really want him to have.

Ah, yes, I remember the year we got the twins "desks" as part of their Christmas. Beth still makes fun of us for that. (Truth? They were getting the desks anyway, we just had them arrive on Christmas. REALLY filled out the tree corner! And it was an excuse to buy file folders and a cute little stapler and scizzors and stuff so they could practice their organizational skills and maybe clean up their pigsty rooms a bit!)

Merry Christmas!!! (BTW, M's desk went with him to his college apartment! See, he grew into it!!)
