Thanks For the Clip Pat!

Clayde's BFF Pat/Myra sent Master Indiana a fun comic all the way from Washington DC! And he loves it and talks about it quite a bit and so I took this video of him talking about it. It's a comic with no words and a kid is playing in the sand doing crazy stuff. Indy obviously relates.

Kodak Continues to be Cyber Savvy

I just got final notice on my "free" Kodak picture account, that if I don't order something they'll be shutting that down. That's just swell. What a great revenue stream for them. I mean, if everyone orders a coffee mug to save their photos, they'll probably experience a huge spike in profits for Q3.

Oh well, looks like I'm back into a Friday meeting . . . I'm going to that pool sometime though. I will . . . .

Friday

Becoming the queen of shifting travel plans, but got foiled this last attempt by the $300 re-scheduled flight price tag. So, instead of going to the airport and trying to score standby status back to Cleveland on Friday afternoon (probably an unwise gamble), I am instead going to work by the pool tomorrow, maybe shop a bit, and follow it up with some gambling on the river. Who is making all this leisure possible? Well, Sage is watching Indy all morning and Clayde will have him all night. Tomorrow I will feel like I have it "all" as a working mother.

The 4th

Tuesday, July 15, 2008

We spent the 4th of July at my Grandparents lake house. Indy caught another fish. Daddy took him in the row boat a lot. Uncle Mike let him drive the motor boat (not really don't call authorities). We saw lots of cool fireworks and, of course, played with Alex. Here's some pics:

Now You Know

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Don't feel bad If you didn't know Sage has two half brothers, a half sister, and a father from Colorado. This is strangely not common knowledge. We see them once a year (minus one brother) and here is this year's annual picture . . .

Donut Thunder

Holly and I described it in that way -- the feeling; the moment; when you enter a household with donuts people were not expecting or only sort of expecting. You've carefully chosen them at the bakery -- some cream filled for the lard lovers, cake or slightly glazed ones for the healthish purists, spinkled ones for the kids, apple fritter for the wife.

Ideally people are idling around in the kitchen or family room, not eating because it's too early or there's nothing good in the house (or perhaps they saw the gray clouds gathering) and you walk in . . . KABOOM! "I got donuts!" Hooorrrraaayy!

Donut thunder.

Bone Scan -- Not too bad

Scan tech described them as "breakable but not brittle." I'd like to meet the person that does not have breakable bones . . .

I am in some 80th% percentile. I never liked math anyway. My bones get a B-/C+. They call it Osteopenia. Treatment? Take calcium citrate + vitamin D. Lift Weights. Eat Yogurt. Don't guzzle Starbucks and martinis. Got it.

Alex is 5!

Tuesday, July 1, 2008

Not really, she's 4. But she told me last Thursday she was going to turn five at her party because she already turned 4 on her actual birthday 3 week's ago.

Don't these two look like a happy newlywed couple taking off in Alex's new convertible?

And here's a shot of the cake moment. That would be the moment 3 seconds before Indy tried to blow out her second candle and received the look of "sudden death to you" until it was re-lit for solo blowing.
