Holly and I described it in that way -- the feeling; the moment; when you enter a household with donuts people were not expecting or only sort of expecting. You've carefully chosen them at the bakery -- some cream filled for the lard lovers, cake or slightly glazed ones for the healthish purists, spinkled ones for the kids, apple fritter for the wife.
Ideally people are idling around in the kitchen or family room, not eating because it's too early or there's nothing good in the house (or perhaps they saw the gray clouds gathering) and you walk in . . . KABOOM! "I got donuts!" Hooorrrraaayy!
